The AISSEE is conducted to select students for admission to Sainik Schools and approved New Sainik Schools in India. It provides an opportunity for students to join these English medium residential schools that prepare cadets for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Naval Academy, and other officer training academies.
