Tips to Score Full Marks in Intelligence

  • Practise 15 to 20 mixed questions every day rather than one topic for hours.

  • For series and analogy, first find the rule (add, multiply, skip letters), then check it on every term.

  • For mirror and water images, remember: a mirror flips left and right; water flips top and bottom.

  • For coding-decoding, write the alphabet with numbers (A=1 to Z=26) on rough paper.

  • For Navodaya, practise figure questions only: pattern completion, figure series, geometrical completion, mirror/water images and embedded figures.

  • Time yourself: about 1 minute per question in AISSEE and RMS.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which exam has the most Intelligence questions?

RMS CET, with 50 Intelligence questions in Class 6. AISSEE has 25, and JNVST has 20 figure-based Mental Ability questions.

Is the Navodaya Mental Ability test the same as Sainik Intelligence?

No. JNVST uses only figures and diagrams, while AISSEE and RMS also include verbal reasoning like coding, analogy and blood relations.

How long does it take to master reasoning?

With daily practice, most children become fast and accurate in 6 to 8 weeks.
