Approved New Sainik Schools (NSS) are schools that have been approved by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) in partnership with NGOs, private schools, or state governments. These schools operate under the aegis of the Sainik Schools Society (SSS) and follow the rules and regulations prescribed by the society. NSS provides a Sainik School environment and offers the Academic PLUS curriculum in addition to the regular affiliated board curriculum. The fee structure, education board, and language of instruction may vary among approved New Sainik Schools.
