Sainik School options for Srikakulam students
Andhra Pradesh has two long-established Sainik Schools: Sainik School Korukonda (Vizianagaram district) and Sainik School Kalikiri (Annamayya district, formerly Chittoor). About two-thirds of seats in a Sainik School are for children of the home state, so AP children compete mainly for these two schools. New Sainik Schools run in partnership with the Ministry of Defence also take AISSEE students, including Adani World School (Nellore district) and the school at Nallapureddypalli in YSR Kadapa district. Girls can apply for Class 6.
Srikakulam has been an AISSEE exam city in recent years. The final list is in the NTA bulletin each year. Sainik School Korukonda in Vizianagaram district is the nearest Sainik School. Full details: AISSEE guide, syllabus and Sainik School fees.
