How to download the JNVST 2027 admit card

  1. Open navodaya.gov.in and click the JNVST 2027 Class VI admit card link (it appears in the news or admission section once released). It opens the same portal you used to apply.

  2. Enter the registration number you received on your mobile/SMS while applying and the child's date of birth (these were the login details in previous years), then the captcha.

  3. The admit card appears on screen. Click Download, save the PDF and take two clear printouts on A4 paper.

Forgot the registration number? Search your phone's SMS and email for the message sent when the form was submitted. If you still cannot find it, the portal usually has a "forgot registration number" option. You can also contact the Principal of your district's JNV, who handles the selection test in the district.

Check these details on the admit card

  • Child's name, father's and mother's name, date of birth

  • Photograph and signature: the invigilator matches the photo with the child at the centre

  • Category (General/OBC/SC/ST), Rural or Urban, Divyang status, girl/boy

  • Medium/language of the test. The question booklet comes only in the language chosen in the form. It cannot be changed later. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Telugu, English, Hindi and Urdu are among the options.

  • Exam centre name and address, roll number, exam date and time

Found a mistake? Contact the Principal of your district's JNV immediately, with the child's documents. Do not wait until exam day.

Exam day: what to carry and the rules

  • Admit card printout. No child is allowed in without it.

  • Aadhaar card of the child, or the Government residence certificate of the parent that was uploaded in the application.

  • Two or three blue or black ballpoint pens. Answers are marked on an OMR sheet, and pencils are strictly prohibited.

  • Water bottle and a light snack for after the exam. Leave phones, calculators and smart watches at home or with the parent.

  • A bell rings every 30 minutes. Divyang candidates get 40 minutes extra.

  • The child can write the exam only at the centre shown on the admit card. Change of centre is not allowed.

Each correct answer gets 1.25 marks and there is no negative marking, so the child should attempt every question. On the OMR sheet, darken one circle per question fully. Erasing, striking out or using whitener means that answer is not evaluated. Full section-wise syllabus: JNVST 2027 exam pattern and syllabus.

Last 30 days before 28 November: what to do

  • Weeks 1–2: One section-wise test daily. Spend the most time on Mental Ability and the new EVS section, which together carry half the marks.

  • Week 3: Three full 2-hour mock papers on an OMR sheet, timed from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM so the child gets used to the real slot.

  • Final week: Revise mistakes only, sleep early, visit the exam centre once if it is new to you.
