To be eligible for admission to Sainik School for a particular academic year, candidates belonging to the General, OBC (NCL), and Defense/Ex-servicemen category must obtain a minimum of 25% marks in each section/subject and an aggregate of 40% marks in the AISSEE 2024. However, for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, the minimum marks criteria shall not apply. For admission to approved New Sainik Schools, candidates must obtain a minimum of 25% marks in each section/subject and an aggregate of 40% marks in the AISSEE 2024, irrespective of category.
